Boxed versions for PCs (in Europe and Australia), PS4 and Nintendo Switch will be available for EUR 24.99, USD/EUR 29.99, and USD/EUR 34.99, respectively. The boxed version of the “Children of Morta” will be prepared by Merge Games, the video game publisher and distributor 11 bit studios S.A. successfully worked with when “Frostpunk” and “Moonlighter” made their market debut.

Children of Morta”, developed by Dead Mage studio (based in Austin, US) tells the story of the brave Bergson family, the guards of Morta mountain, who try to stick together as the world around is gradually immersed in the darkness. This pixel-art game represents the popular roguelite RPG genre.

‘The release of “Children of Morta” is another major step in the development of our publishing division (11 bit publishing), whose importance for the Company increases each year,’ said Grzegorz Miechowski, President of the 11 bit studios S.A. Management Board. ‘We firmly believe that “Children of Morta” will be at least as successful as “Moonlighter”, also financially,’ added Mr Miechowski. In May 2018, 11 bit studios S.A. released “Moonlighter”, developed by Digital Sun. During more than a year that has passed since the release of this Spanish production, the game has attracted more than one million players. Revenue from its sales significantly contributed to 11 bit studios S.A.’s performance in the last few quarters. Miechowski admits that the Company is optimistic about the upcoming release of “Children of Morta” given, among other factors, the strong interest the game attracts among players as confirmed by the size of the wishlist on Steam. ‘The wishlist is markedly larger than in the case of “Moonlighter”, even shortly before the release of the game, and we still have a few weeks to go before the launch of the “Children of Morta”.’

Miechowski indicated that first announcements concerning another game for which 11 bit studios S.A. will be a publisher may be made still this year. However, he keeps his lips sealed about the details of the game.
